Can’t I Just Talk to Friends and Family?
If you have supportive friends and family, you may wonder why you would need outside help. Working with a therapist is unique and effective because it’s set up to be safe and confidential while you share deeply personal experiences. Being a trained, skilled therapist I can offer you lasting solutions to your worries and anxiety. Although having friends and family to talk to is great, they don’t have the ability to help you identify your triggers, handle your anxiety, and gain new skills. People don’t usually just “get anxious” — there are always reasons.
I’m Concerned About the Cost of Anxiety Treatment
I believe that therapy is an investment in your emotional, physical, and mental well-being. What might your anxiety be keeping you from? I recommend that you try at least six sessions and then evaluate your progress. You can learn new tools, apply them, and see if you feel some relief. You are in charge of your own therapy and I can customize your treatment for your needs and schedule. Therapy doesn’t have to last forever. I Don’t Want to Take Medication
This is a personal decision. Medications often improve mood and can be an important part of a treatment plan. A referral to a psychiatrist can be discussed, however, if you are opposed to medication, we will find a way to manage your anxiety through talk and behavioral therapy. Either way, you can understand and manage your anxiety.
